Housing Projects
The Reserve at Greenfield
High Real Estate Group sought RETTEW's site planning expertise when introducing a new type of market-rate housing with unique amenities and proximity to desired local attractions. Despite floodplain constraints, RETTEW secured approval for a stormwater system and developed a design that included 82 units with indoor and outdoor amenities like a gym, pet spa, and lounge. The successful "Reserve at Greenfield" complex integrated seamlessly with the existing community, even adding to their trail network and enhancing the local environment with a healthy riparian buffer.
Hempfield Crossing
Faced with the challenge of integrating an infill housing project into an existing community while maximizing density and affordability, RETTEW crafted a creative solution for a site in East Hempfield Township. By leveraging available zoning guidelines and prioritizing seamless connections to surrounding neighborhoods, we designed a layout offering 81 unique single-family homes with better pedestrian circulation, improved road connections, and enhanced visibility from a nearby major route. This approach met the client's goals while respecting the character of the existing community.
Stehli Silk Mill
Lancaster's historic Stehli Silk Mill, once a bustling industrial site, is transforming into a vibrant mixed-use hub. After thorough environmental assessments, plans are underway for 165 apartments, retail spaces, restaurants, and inviting outdoor areas. This project promises to revitalize the area, weaving together history, progress, and community life in a tapestry of the past and future.
1010 Hamilton Apartments
City Center Lehigh Valley has partnered with RETTEW to reinvigorate downtown Allentown. The 1010 Apartments project replaced a strip of old vacant commercial buildings with a four-story building designed to complement the traditional neighborhood surrounding it. In addition to the main lobby, the building’s apartments along the main street have individual ground level entrances to match the style of the nearby residential units. The building contains an interior, multi-level courtyard that provides both recreational benefits and manages stormwater in conjunction with the building’s green roof.
